Obama, Kerry and the rest gifted the world more than a decade of war, and the "rules-based international order" is being enforced, at last, by Israel. With a guest post by M. Mehdi Moradi.
Netanyahu and Trump deserve the Nobel prize for neutering the deadly Iranian regime. America and Israel have had plans, since 1979 to do this job, but no other Israeli PM and American president dared to do what had to be done. If Biden was still in power Iran would have achieved its goal of acquiring nuclear weapons, and use them to blackmail and kill
This is a powerful piece of Journalism: Scorchingly excoriating Obama and by inference, every smarmy fool that believed and still believes that Obama's 10 year delay for a Nuclear Death Cult Theocracy was anything but middlebrow stupidity.
This is the very best synopsis I have seen of the trajectory of the Middle East for the past decade or so. Every once in a while a piece comes along that makes me feel a little less insane about a region where a spent a good chunk of my life. High praise on this one Terry. Thank you.
Please forgive my lack of comprehension but is the reference to ' the passengers as human shields against retaliation', a reference to the obscene slaughterhouse on the ground where the mutilated remains of these poor souls were found?
The only one of the dozen or so planes taking off from that runway that morning, "mysteriously" delayed an hour as "over max takeoff weight" and needed the baggage rearranged...while the Iranian missile crew "mis-adjusted" their compass heading.
I paid for the privilege to post this. I found this reading biased, incomplete, and disconnected from too many aspects of politics and the world as I understand. Accordingly, I was frankly surprised that when, at least when I started drafting this before dinner (it's now after dinner), that there wasn't a single comment offering that point of view. Mission accomplished . . .
Then state your point of view, post it on substack (apparently anyone can become a writer) return to this comments section and provide a link to it. Those who want to follow up will I'm sure have some repartee for you to consider.

Obama was drunk on his own self-declared abilities and hubris.
Winning a Nobel Peace Prize for not being George W. bush can have that effect.
Straight language, no equivocating, laser focused to cut through to the truth. Thank you Terry.
As much as it hurts some to admit it, Iran is only being dismantled because Trump was elected instead of the cabal running Biden and Harris

Thanks for that, McExpat.

Still seems there was someone on that plane the Iranians would not let escape no matter what.
The plane was shot down to ensure it.
Still waiting to find out who
