In truth, it was never close to that. The date, 23 June 1985, is not seared into the nation's soul. The events of that day snuffed out hundreds of innocent lives and altered the destinies of thousands more, but it neither shook the foundations of government, nor transformed its policies. It was not, in the main, even officially acknowledged as an act of terrorism.”
Thank you Terry for your work on behalf of these innocent victims and their undoubtedly still grieving families.
Excellent summation of a very informative series. You've earned a vacation. Two things kept popping into my mind as I've read this. Daniel Jean was a real piece of work. It does no politician any favors to see the lows to which Justin Trudeau will sink for a few seats in the big house. And third; if this government is willing to pass on a new Pacific trade pact and better trade with India, all for a few seats in BC and north Toronto, there is your proof that they could give a rat's arse about what's best for the country.
Thanks for this article. Much needed. This "movement", in one line, as of today, is simply organized crime (drugs, money laundering, human trafficking - you name it!) masquerading as a "separatist movement" and getting political patronage due to an ill-thought notion that this can be used as a leverage in foreign policy. It will backfire big time for Canada.
Thank you. Excellent, once again.
Thank you, again. No one else is giving Canadians the truth.
