I’m not going anywhere. I’m grateful for all the information you can provide through your investigations, whether it’s in the NP, or The Real Story. Just stay safe and well and accomplish what you reasonably can.
Penny, I agree with you! Terry you are a very rare individual in this day! You are an exemplary and ethical investigative journalist! If you were to have other journalists support you in delivering what you learn, it could be of benefit in so many ways, for you, them and your readers! Heck, you could offer an apprenticeship!
Perhaps hiring a rookie go-getter may be a good idea. Or two or three. Journalism needs more writers who think, work and write like you (and Sam Cooper and a few others).
Sam at the Bureau is another of my must-reads. So brave and makes me not feel so defeated for the future of my country, my children and my grandchildren. p.s. I also like Paul Wells, Jen Gerson and Matt Gurney (The Line).
Yep, me too wrt Terry's substack being the first one I subscribed to. I subscribed and unsubscribed to others, too. And when Paul Wells started up his, I subscribed (and still do) to that one, too.
Terry, you conclude with, "Just when you thought we were done with ..... '
And, here I have never been aware of any such stories. I am, of course, aware that there are a varieties of myths, lies and similar untruths floating around but your descriptors are certainly new ones on me. I will simply have to wait.
Oh, and always good to get your material, even if sometimes it takes a bit longer than you plan. Quality can't be rushed and all that!
As if either Brian and I are going anywhere! Not. We’ve often talked about your old-school journalism and meticulous research, both of which seem scarcer than the proverbial hens’ teeth. Anything you write is worth the wait.
"Just when you thought we were done with Twilight Zone stories about nuns officiating at weird moonlight rituals involving Indigenous children being forced to bury their murdered classmates in apple orchards, "
No anticipatory guilt needed for me, Terry. I will not depart from your readership nor the view on leadership which you frame in your Real Story communication. I admire your work.
Terry you have us all eagerly awaiting updates so we feel more informed. Doesn’t sound good that you are on the hamster wheel constantly trying to catch up for our curiosity and pleasure. Sounds like you need to take some time on the side of a river with a fly rod. Meet me in the Skeena country and I’ll share a dram with you and it will be an opportunity to catch a beautiful steelhead. Otherwise I’ll eagerly await your next post while I try to sort out a double Spey. All the best. We love your stuff!

Hi Terry, I appreciate your excellent reporting and recognize that everyone needs a break- otherwise burn-out happens. Enjoy your time off.
I believe you were the first Substack I subscribed to because no one was giving the kind of deep dive reporting you do. For this I am grateful!
Secondly, if you do not post in Nat Post a good majority of general public will miss your info. Hope you can find a way to keep offering there.
My dad was a writer/photo essayist so I know all about the deadlines and pressure to dig deep into research, ideas, and truthful stories.

After that last paragraph I'll be checking my inbox every quarter hour tomorrow.

Catchy cliffhanger, Terry. (My guess is you've seen Sugarcane.)
Terry, I very much appreciate your in-depth reporting, and I know that the things you see and hear really take a toll.
Thank you for your dedication to telling the truth.

Movie maybe?
Seymour Hersh came out with a story on the Nordstream pipe sabotage not long after the event (CIA etc.) Plausible? Who knows anymore…
You - I trust. And did manage a copy of “I Could Read the Sky” - thank you.
WSJ had an article a few days ago saying a group of rogue Ukrainians did it.
Can't wait!
