There are far too many whose livelihoods depend on the grievance industries. For them, there can be no moving on to a place of healing and a better future. Again and again, they pick at scars to make them bleed again.

This is very important work, Terry. I've been teaching on reserves in north western Ontario since 2016 and many of my Indigenous colleagues believe these stories--without question. The amplification of falsehoods (about one of Canada's ugliest chapters) creates an even deeper cultural rift. Things need to be set straight in the media. Annett needs to be exposed. I will order that book for our school library, by the way. Just overjoyed that lesson plans are included.

This is a massive column starting with Trudeau, soccer & Iran ending with masses of mass graves & much more. I need a day to read it

Difficult to 'like' this due to the horrific subject matter(s) it deals with, but it is well written. Thank you, and I hope everyone takes the time to read it.
