“The great difficulty we have in Canada is the general public has trouble understanding that we’re threatened,” said Richard Fadden, retired director of CSIS in a 2021 testimony at the Commons Special Committee on Canada-China Relations. "Parliament must be awake to subterfuge by Chinese agents. They’re after us, if I can use the vernacular, from a whole variety of perspectives,” said Fadden. “And they’re after us in a negative sort of way."

The general public are busy listening to the mainstream Trudeau paid for media and they were not to speak Ill of China due to Trudeau’s great admiration for their basic dictatorship. A few spoke out like the Committee, Mr. Cooper of Global and his book, Willful Blindness, and Terry. This is of little concern to Canadians as they have been under the impression that China is good, as it appears the Liberals have a cozy relationship with them. They do not realize that if the Liberals or those in the political arena speak well of the dictatorship they get offered financial rewards when they leave office or goodness knows even while being in office. CSIS dare not speak out to loudly as to whom is in contact and under the influence of China so they go straight to the Prime Minister with information such as that. I don’t think Canadians realize our Liberal Government appointed the head of CSIS in 2017 and he came straight from the Governments own Privy Council. Yes folks the head of CSIS was aiding in everything from the SNC Lavalin subversion of Justice, to the Admiral Mark Norman disgrace, right through the WE Scandal, and the Chinese Army being entertained in the Winnipeg Level Four Lab and the Sending of lethal viruses to the Wuhan. Just as the man at the head of CSIS colluded with the Liberal Government on evoking the Emergency Act for reasons far to secret for us mere peons to know. After all it did not meet the CSIS definition so they needed to come up with a secret reason that we, the people can never know. Nothing to see here at all Canada. Stick your heads back in the sand and carry on. Willful blindness is not just a problem for politicians, it’s an even bigger one for the Canadian public. It’s far less stressful ignoring what politicians do as long as things are going your way. That is until it effects people personally they really don’t care.

Sorry Terry, but I'm not seeing it. Not here in Canada, not in the US, not in Europe. The Powers That Be (the swamp, the Davos Elite, the Illuminati, call it by whatever favorite Boogeyman you want) are still firmly in charge. "Democracy" is just a fake veneer they paint over their corruption and greed as they deal away our rights, our interests and our resources.

I am with you as the plans being made for our once democratic countries is beginning to look more like the authoritarian ones that we were supposedly attempting to bring into the free, capitalist, and democratic, fold. I would say it has turned the leaders of today around as they mimic the authoritarian style of the Communist regimes they mingled with. They now use the tactics of propoganda on their own citisens and collude with the mainstream media, global corporations, and all of our once trusted Institutions.

I am amazed at the willful blindness of the elites, but also the citisens as well. The pandemic brought forth a form of insanity and it carries on today as people clamour for safety from the constant propogated and pushed narrative, used to purposely frighten them. That narrative is coming straight from the Government PMO's Office and their "Experts." Either Canadians today are unaware of how the German people elected a government democratically, only to have medical emergencies called and then continued emergencies, to which gave the Nazi's complete dictatorial powers through thier use. The murder of 11 million people happened as people were compelled to "other" those they deemed unfit. Just as the Unvaccinated were "othered" right here in Canada. As in German, the culling of the population was done through the health care system as they euthanized those they deemed less than or flawed in any way, including those who were physically or mentally challenged and babies born as such. Here in Canada today, we watch this Government push euthanasia for the mentally ill and children. It was the exact same thing done in Germany and it was through the health care system people were illiminated and experimented on by doctors. Need I say more. Is it willful blindness of citisens or just ignorance of the history of human autrocities of the past. I leave that up to everyone to decide for themselves. There is a dark prescence in this world and its building a dark world to which our children shall suffer through.

Sadly, I too must agree with Marylou and Kelly. Terry I want to embrace your spin but find myself checked by what I witness here in Canada exactly as described by Marylou.

All I want for Christmas is for Terry to be right!!

I am only getting to this now. Mothers are busy at Christmas time.

Thank you for a wee bit of hope Terry!

I hope you get to spend a bunch of time with family and friends and forget about this mad world for a bit. May you be blessed with some belly deep, tear making, chest wheezing laughter! Laughter is good.

No, nothings been turned around. Even you - a demonstrably smart man - can’t see that this Ukraine nonsense is just another proxy war and should be denounced at every turn, and is in no way a clarion call for democracy (whatever that means anymore, anyway)

Interesting that the Atlantic posits a future in which an unconfronted Russia is unstoppably advancing toward the rest of Europe, yet in much of the reporting the same foe is apparently simultaneously incompetent, undertrained, underfunded and unprepared? I seem to remember another media story where it was “evil genius who’s going to take your rights away” one day and “orange buffoon has small hands” the next. Consistency, it seems, is not the media’s focus.

Stronger leaders and those who represent their democratic institutions would have forced peace months ago….But come now, there’s money to be made!

Timothy Snyder put it best when he said every day the Ukrainians fight, they give us another year. Same with the Taiwanese, the Iranian and Chinese protesters, and all the rest of the folks you mentioned.

Happy Christmas, Slava Ukraini, and Marg Bar Diktator to you, Terry!
