There's a saying that hindsight makes mediocre majors sound like wise generals. The Nazi-in-the-gallery is a PR nightmare of the Liberals own making. It's a glaring display of gross incompetence which they promptly doubled the damage by requesting Hansard expunge the record. Ineptness followed by a public attempt at a cover-up. We're not dealing with the best and brightest here.

Perhaps far fewer would have joined the pumped up outrage chorus of of the Nazi-in-the-gallery debacle had Mark Miller not posted a surreptitious video condemning Poilievre for not applauding enthusiastically enough.

I'm sick to death of the descent into pettiness while the big issues remain unaddressed. Let's not lose sight that the government lacks ambition to address matters critical to Canadian interests like foreign interference in Canadian politics.

The mistake made was to make Mr. Hunta stand up in House and take a standing ovation. It was not necessary, not much to be gained. In hindsight, somebody with even an inkling of what Ukraine was like during the war years, should have alerted somebody.
