Thank you, Terry. I really hope when Karma bites Trudeau and his sneak of weasels in their arrogant, incompetent, unethical, devious asses she has some sort of venom suitable for such horrid people. Please stay safe in your travels. Israel, Canada and others need you.

One thing that sucks about being an avowed chaos-theory Atheist who refuses to embrace Paltrowisms like "everything happens for a reason" is I cannot accept that karma will come back to bite Trudeau, nor will he and his predatory sneak-weasels (thanks for that!) spend eternity being slowly spit-roasted by demons in a hell which does not exist.

Penny, I have a question about grammar.

You refer to "... Trudeau and his sneak of weasels ..." Are you using "sneak" as a plural form, as one would refer to a "murder of crows" or a "parliament of owls"? I have never heard of a "sneak of weasels" and I am wondering if it is your own coinage or if you have picked it up somewhere.

No matter, it is a highly appropriate way to so describe that assemblage of individuals.

Expand full comment

I’m using it as a collective noun, one of several that can be used to describe a group of weasels. It is a perfect fit for Trudeau and the gang (gang being another weasel collective noun).

‘Sneaky Weasel’ is the name of a fairly tasty beer brewed in East Van, I believe?

Truly a delightful coinage.

One could also - thinking of these particular people, of course - have an ilk of weasels, but I do like your sneak of weasels.

Congrats on your imagination!

You forgot to mention that we can't meet climate targets (if that's your thing) when bringing in so much immigration. This was basically a Dominic Barton idea via Century Initiative. Think how much money we have paid McKinsey & Co to destroy Canada. https://blog.friendsofscience.org/2022/05/31/urgent-call-for-review-of-climate-emergency-declaration-evidence-and-conflicting-public-policies-on-ghg-reductions-and-immigration/ PS great work, as always. It’s nice to see that Canadians are waking up to what has been a full out attack against Canada by its progressive Government. It’s even more surprising that people can now see what is happening under the Liberal/NDP Progressive Government but can not see the war on US Citizens by the Progressive Democrats. I don’t understand the flawed thinking that this is only happening in Canada, when in fact it was the reason for Trump, Brexit, and the disfunction of all Western European nations under the strangle hold of the EU Centralized government of unelected bureaucrats in Belgium. They don’t see the up rising with The Netherlands farmers,or the one happening in Germany as I write, and how many other European Nations are following in the freedom Convoy’s footsteps. The very Freedom Convoy that was full of white supremist, racists, and what ever other name the Progressive Trudeau/NDP and the helpful corporate media insisted they were and that many Canadian’s still believe today. People can not seem to connect any dots, which to me is the most frightening thing of all. The war on Christian’s and the genocide already committed of them in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and in many other nations around the world, but not a peep do you hear from mainstream media or the government. Yet if Israel dares defend itself against the barbaric butchery of Hamas and those Palestinians brainwashed to hate, it is Israel deemed the bad guy. Just as when Churches were set afire across Canada nothing was said or done as it was understandable. Yet should even graffiti land upon a Mosque in Canada then the Trudeau funded Canada Anti Hate Network comes out in full force. As the pro Palestinian protesters disrupt children seeing Santa Claus in public malls, burning delis, protesting against designating neighbourhoods, schools, and fire bomb Synagogues in Canada, the police bring them coffee and nothing is done to stop their hateful rhetoric and screaming of death to all Jews. Yet should any Canadian dare protest against the Illiberal NDP Coalition for their draconian reaction to the pandemic and their dictatorial forcing of substances into our bodies, they are deemed an enemy of the state, debunked, jailed, with no bail, and still are sitting there today. Why can people only see what effects them and not what effects all Canadians or all countries. Is it because we focus only on what effects us personally? Euthanasia laws have been made easier and easier for a reason. It must be normalized or ignored, like the genocide of Christian’s, jewish people and those who do not adhere to the progressive ideology. People seem to be awake but they are still not looking with their eyes wide open. We need to have our eyes wide open if we want to stop the trajectory we are headed in. Wide, wide, wide, open. We must pay attention to everything going on around the world in order to understand where this is headed. Trust me you won’t find the majority of this information on your tv stations or mainstream media. Again you need to know who is against and who is for the regular taxpaying people.

"a bit of both “deliberately” and “by accident."

I've pondered that very question myself Terry and far more often over the past 2 years as the litany of unintended consequences rained down on Canadians.

Ideology far outweighs intellect in the Trudeau government so the obvious explanation is a group of misguided misfits being left in charge far too long. Yet, the harm is so profound, widespread and long lasting, that behind the sunny proclamations I cannot help but consider a malevolent spirit intent on burning everything down.

Expand full comment

Are we really sure they are “unintended” consequences?

Expand full comment

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Because, to think some of the worst outcomes for Canadians were actually deliberate would indicate the worst kind of callous disregard and evil intent.

Expand full comment

That is generous of you. From my perspective, they squandered any benefit of doubt years ago. Their behaviour definitely qualifies for “worst kind of callous disregard” and leans heavily toward “evil intent”.

Expand full comment

I'm skeptical of their capabilities. I mean despite all the damage Trudeau has done, his record is one of failure and underperformance (a mixed blessing, but I'm not going to lie and say I'm disappointed when something I oppose ends in a metaphorical twisted wreck of Meccano).

However I will offer that if there is "evil intent" it's plain ol' greed and self-centredness rather than part of some nefarious international order's grant scheme. One reason I believe that is Trudeau's repeated failures and scandals have soured the international community of elites on him. Remember his bid for a vanity seat on the UNSC? They laughed him out of the room. His greatest accomplishment over the past decade is to convince "his masters" (if you will) that he's a lightweight, not suitable even to night-manage an Orange Julius kiosk.

No offense to Orange Julius managers.

Just following orders from the WEF. Destabilizing the nuclear family, open borders ( at least until they shut down Roxham Rd ) now it is excess foreign students getting hosed. Gender Dysphoria & indoctrination starting in Grade 1, DEI, less stable energy grids as more unreliable renewables are supported endlessly. ( at least Alberta has a temporary moratorium on this )

Canada is well on it way to becoming a Socialist country under this band of misfits.

I don’t think you're wrong. Covid was a watershed moment for many of us. Sadly, not nearly enough people have accepted the reality but there is now a nucleus of citizens with an appropriate level of distrust.

I think that your faith is misplaced. All western democracies are facing the same plight. Open borders to inflation . They all treated the pandemic in lockstep with lockdowns, the same and as they now ignore the higher than usual death rates in all western democracies today. You do not find it odd that protests across Europe by Farmers is relevant nor the mass protests in all European democracies by the Pro Palestinian groups.

I am unwaveringly sure of it. Imagine for a moment you're some all-powerful global(ist) cabal with limitless resources and your tentacles deep into every government and corporation on the planet. Would you choose this clod and his rainbow cabal of lackwits as your point-men, even in a country as globally insignificant as Canada?

I mean, everybody loves to watch the Three Stooges try to paint a house, but nobody would ever actually hire them.

Expand full comment

Then explain to me how they have stayed in power in Canada for ten years. As incompetent and as much like the three stooges that they are, they still remain in power and can dictate to us all regardless that the dictate goes against our Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and our Constitution. They continue to place in laws, directives, and agendas, all things outside their jurisdiction, made by a cabal in Europe, that lays outside their jurisdiction with in the Constitution, and directives and mandates that go against, not just the Nuremberg Code, but against our Charter of freedoms and rights. So how can this be done accidentally? If you know it’s against the Constitution you would not put it forward, but they also know it takes years and years, due to our failing injustice system, to reach the Supreme Court. They put it in regardless of the unconstitutionality anyway and force it on the taxpayers and Provinces whether they are within the Constitution or not. If that were me, as a citizen, pleading ignorance to the laws of the land (rule of law, which no longer exists in Canada, I would be charged regardless of my ignorance. It is no excuse with in the law itself. Then we have the Attorney General under the Trudeau regime insisting that we, as Canadian’s, have no property rights, to which we find is absolutely true. The Regime you deem as stooges can create undemocratic laws and make our property illegal at any time they feel is necessary through an order in Council. First it was our guns, now they are mandating electric cars, so what happens to our gas powered, paid for, or still being paid for, combustion engine cars? Will they too be confiscated like our ability to defend ourselves against tyranny or escape the injustice of the cabals stooges? It’s time to open your eyes as this is not being done because they are not bright enough to know any better. They know exactly what they are doing as it is happening in all Western Nations. These stooges are jailing, charging, and holding their political enemies as prisoners. They are taking the rights and freedoms of speech, not just in Canada but across all Western And once democratic and free countries. It’s why you need to pay attention and really keep those eyes wide open as it’s across the world, not just here in Canada. Take a good look at Poland right now, and get back to me.

So I voted for Trudeau in 2015, but I wonder if others could share the moment they realized something was up. For me, it was the sex-balanced* cabinet and his only justification was "it's 2015." I realized he was sneaking in a heavy dose of an ideology I wasn't down for.

From early in his campaign. But I'm not going to stoop to deliver a blanket "I told you so".

But, yeah, the "it's 2015" remark was asinine. It was an opportunity to make an actual intelligent statement legitimizing a cabinet with proportionate gender and ethnic representation (if that's your thing), but instead it was an empty-headed smug, dismissive soundbite. That was probably the defining moment when I was sure we elected a TikTok influencer bobblehead instead of a statesman.

Life's like that - no party is perfect. Each one brings its share of good and bad. All one can do is hope the good things outweigh the bad things.
